Annika is a Brooklyn-bred singer, songwriter and pianist . She writes in all genres but is most at home in the adult contemporary category with her signature style of emotionally charged, piano-centric songs.
Annika loves being a self-described "late bloomer", discovering her passion for songwriting later in life. She also enjoys self-producing music videos for many of her songs on YouTube, and credits this for thousands of new listeners discovering her music in the US and abroad. She is perhaps best known for "Streets of Brooklyn", her musical ode to her hometown. Released on YouTube in 2010, its popularity on YouTube and Facebook led to a growing fanbase, invitations to perform, and her 2011 debut EP "No Sleep Till Brooklyn". Two of its tracks, "Streets of Brooklyn" and "Fix Me" received radio airplay in the US and UK. Her first album can be found on iTunes and other digital download sites. Annika's new 15 track CD "Affinity" was released in February 2013.
Annika enjoys performing acoustic versions of her original songs throughout NJ and NY, and is grateful for the support of her family and friends, fans, and fellow musicians.
